Governor, Murtala Nyako
According to Nyako, the Boko Haram insurgencies in the north, militancy being experienced in the South South, kidnapping in the South East and armed robbery being experienced in the South West were all fueled by hard drugs.
Nyako stated that in order to prevent the youths who are mostly addicted to drug, his government has floated various Skill acquisition and vocational training Centers to train jobless youth.
The Governor made this known while speaking to newsmen shortly after a recent public function in the state.
He noted that for any government to be successful in the war against crime, there should be a genuine effort in the provision of job opportunities which will take the minds of people off anti-social vices.
“For us to succeed in the war against crime, we should ensure that genuine efforts are been made towards the provision of job opportunities for all and sundry,” he added.
