BAR BEACH TRAGEDY BODY OF DROWNED TEENAGE YET TO BE RECOVERED

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) yesterday said it is yet to recover the body of a teenager who drowned at the Lagos Bar Beach on Friday.
According to the agency, the identity of the teenager is still not known because no-one has yet to come forward to complain of a missing person.
The teenager, a male, was sent to an early grave after some fun seekers celebrating the Eid-el-fitri at the beach suddenly raised alarm on noticing that the boy’s life was in danger.
Read the Vanguard Newspapers report below:
The victim, as gathered, was swimming when all of a sudden, the wave became boisterous and swept him deeper into the ocean.
Attempt by three life guards to rescue the drowning teenager failed as they could not go further following the intense wave of the surging ocean.
NEMA’s South West zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, told Vanguard on phone, yesterday, that the teenager’s body was yet to be recovered.
